Welcome to Lighthouse Church of Chicago

 

We are a predominately African American LGBT-inclusive church that welcomes all people. That’s right --  we welcome people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, races, ethnicities and class – not in spite of the gospel but because of the gospel.

Lighthouse Church of Chicago is part of the United Church of Christ (UCC) denomination. The UCC has over 5,000 churches and over one million members across the United States. The UCC denomination is the first historically white denomination to ordain an African-American, the first to ordain a woman, the first to ordain an openly gay man, and the first Christian church to affirm the right of same-gender couples to marry. UCC churches, including Lighthouse, welcomes and accepts everyone as they are.
